It is not, so much, that Spock was the first Human-Vulcan Hybrid. Most people simply don’t like to be reminded of the circumstances surrounding Elizabeth’s…existence, however.
And he is the first Human-Vulcan Hybrid to be carried without the use of an artificial womb, without the use of cloning. So perhaps it is not innacurate to call him the first true Hybrid.
But as a child, non of that mattered. And since his mother’s friend T’Pol had chosen to make her home on Earth, with infrequent visits to her home planet when necessary, it is not as though he was exposed to as many interspecies relationships as his parents may have wished.
However, meeting Lizzie Tucker, all elegant pointed ears and twinkling blue eyes and an accent that could not possibly be anything but her laughing father’s influence still gave him a tiny spark of something.
You are not alone, perhaps.
Regardless, if Amanda Greyson was ever asked if her son’s decision to join StarFleet had surprised her, she would say no.
Because Elizabeth T’Les Tucker had swept into their home in a StarFleet uniform, stars in her eyes, the universe lit before her, her Vulcan and Human parents behind her, and had shown Spock that despite what the world would tell him, you are not alone. Not in this whole galaxy, do you ever need to be alone.

I saw this after DS9 and I always wondered why Miles could articulate this so clearly in TNG and sort of fall back on a not-quite-understood anger in DS9, that he would express in genuinely prejudiced ways sometimes. And I think it’s not just that DS9 was the darker show, but that the Enterprise, even with Cardassians onboard, is his space, a safe home. Whereas Deep Space Nine, formerly Terok Nor, is a Cardassian space station, designed (as pretty much all of Cardassia is) for military purposes. He’s in their territory, and he feels it.
I saw this after DS9 as well. I can rationalise it as Miles being aware of his own prejudices after this point, but because he’s not confronted with Cardassians that often in his day to day life he still hasn’t been able to overcome those prejudices.
